ADDISON LEE, the transport company in London for the private hire industry, has acquired Redwing, its counterpart in the private hire coach market, for an undisclosed sum.

"The combined operation will turnover in excess of £66 million and allow us to cross sell and diversify the range of services we offer our existing clients," said Liam Griffin, managing director of Addison Lee.

Addison Lee has a current fleet of 1,400 cars, 200 bike couriers, 100 vans and delivers over 15,000 people and packages every day.

"This is the latest in a series of planned acquisitions which we are seeking to make in order to consolidate our pole position in this competitive market," added Griffin.
