A new fleet driver communications solution, based around a smartphone app, has been launched by Driverconnex.
Costing a fraction of the price of a traditional hard wired on-board black-box telematics vehicle system, Driverconnex requires no equipment to be installed in the vehicle, recognising the fact that most drivers these days have access to a smartphone or smart mobile device.
For the driver the system provides a simple method to track, record and submit mileage/expense reports and gain access to essential scheduled and unscheduled driver support.
As an example, in the event of a road accident, the Driverconnex app provides advice on company policy regarding reporting the incident and can even assist in locating the vehicle’s position, sending the fleet manager an automated alert of the incident.
For fleet managers, key data from drivers is available on demand via a secure Driverconnex client portal.
The Driverconnex app can be used to prompt drivers to carry out regular vehicle checks, ask about their experience with vehicle service providers and remind them of company fleet/ driver policy.
Businesses can sign up for short or long-term contracts with pricing based on the complexity of their requirements and the number of users.
Driverconnex can be tailored to an organisation’s needs/fleet profile and branded to its own corporate identity.
Once a branded system has been defined and delivered, the app can be downloaded by fleet drivers to their mobile device and operational within minutes.
