Rivus has named David Myers, a former regional managing director of Wolseley, as its new CEO, effective from December 1.

Myers brings more than 20 years of extensive senior management experience from a range of industries, most latterly as regional managing director at Wolseley, a trade distributor of heating and plumbing products.

Rivus Fleet Solutions, formerly known as BT Fleet, provides funding, servicing, maintenance, repairs, MOTs, mobile support, accident management, leasing, rentals and custom design services. All vehicle types are available with full-service support, up to and including HGVs.

Former CEO, Henry Brace, left the business at the start of the year. He had taken over the helm of BT Fleet Solutions in April 2016, having previously held several other roles at the fleet management company.

Michael Scheidler, chief development officer at Rivus, said the company had taken its time to find the ideal candidate to replace Brace.

“I’m thrilled to welcome David into Rivus,” he continued. “His track record in growth, depth of understanding of sales, commercial operations, experience of digitalisation and his excitement about joining our business make him the ideal leader to develop our business further and continually look to better serve our customers.”

Scheidler will continue to support the development of Rivus as chief development officer.

Myers said: "Rivus is a fantastic business, with a deep talent pool and strong customer base, so I am  delighted to be joining the team.

"My mission is to lead Rivus to even greater things during such an exciting time for both the company and the industry."
