THE new Audi Allroad is based on the A6 Avant but comes with changes including body skirting, sump guards and adaptive air suspension.

The previous model was something of a surprise success for Audi in the UK, and with residuals far stronger than the standard A6 for the new one, much of the same will be expected of this one. We pitch it against its key rival in the off-roading estate stakes, the XC70m, which has also been doing very good business for the Swedish firm, although it is getting rather long in the tooth now.
