BMW residual values usually outstrip those of Audi, although this has never been the case with the firm’s entry-level models, the 1 Series and A3, where prices have been much closer.

The introduction of the new EfficientDynamics package, which hugely increases the fuel economy and emissions of both petrol and diesel 1 Series means the car is likely to be much more popular on the used market. So CAP has realigned 1 Series for the 2007 model.

It also gets slight visual tweaks too, putting some daylight between it and the A3, especially in this popular M Sport variant.
