Fleets should benefit from a new fuel price war between the supermarkets.

Last week Asda lowered the price of petrol and diesel taking three pence off a litre of unleaded and up to two pence off a litre of diesel at its 179 forecourts.

It is now guaranteeing that none of its customers will pay more than 103.9p per litre for unleaded and 105.9p per litre for diesel.

Tesco followed suit, knocking a similar amount off its fuel prices.
