Fleet service provider All Fleet Services (AFS) claims fleets can cut their admin costs in half, while ensuring compliance with legislation, with its new product Fleet Administration.

The product, which launches this week, comprises five services: fines management, V5 document control, RFL management, cherish number plate management and MoT reminders.

Each service will see AFS take control of the administration, for example, paying speeding fines, storing V5 documentation, validating vehicle tax and ensuring the company gets the correct tax disc refund at the end of the vehicle life.

Masterlease is the first company to sign up to Fleet Administration. AFS wants to sign another five leasing companies within the next year and is also targeting large corporate fleets and public sector fleets.

Fleet Administration is one of the tools AFS will use to grow its business. Its core product, service booking, which directs drivers into the leasing/fleet approved repair network, is used by 37 fleet and leasing customers. The target is to get to 45-50 within the next year.

According to AFS, many fleets allow drivers to make their own servicing and repair bookings which results in around 40% not using the preferred repair network.

Via its service, AFS ensures more than 90% of drivers go through the approved network, saving fleets £25 per invoice. By managing the process, it is also reducing vehicle downtime by 15-20%.

“Often drivers are not even aware that there is a preferred network, “said Dave Scobie, managing director at All Fleet Services.

“Our job is to ensure they use it by improving awareness through driver cards and doing pro-active service bookings.”
