Kwik-Fit Fleet’s decision to offer servicing, repair and MoTs is paying off.

Year-to-date, MoT business from fleets is up 71% and service, maintenance and repair (SMR) is up 56%.

Kwik-Fit Fleet sales director Mike Wise believes this pace of growth is sustainable and is confident that double-digit growth can be achieved for at least two decades.

Just over 400 of Kwik-Fit’s 662 sites have MoT and servicing facilities. By the end of the year the number will be nudging 500.

Contract extensions on fleet cars have helped to fuel the demand.

“We knew there was an opportunity , but the market conditions have put it all together,” said Wise. “The recession is playing into our hands.”

Fleets will soon be able to sign up to one contract that covers fast-fit, SMR and MoT for the term of the lease.

“We are working on the packaging now and will do some trials with specific customers,” said Wise. “It will remove the risk for fleets.”
