Inchcape Fleet Solutions has signed up as a corporate donor to road safety charity Brake to promote the importance of occupational road risk management.

The move comes in the build up to Road Safety Week 2009, which takes place from November 23-29 and is organised by Brake with the support of the Department for Transport and other organisations to promote the importance of at-work road safety.

Corporate donor membership gives Inchcape Fleet Solutions access to Brake’s Fleet Safety Forum, which provides road safety resources to fleet managers, and Brake Professionals scheme, which gives access to an online information-packed road safety library.

In addition, Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ employees will also be able to attend free educational sessions held regionally by Brake, which are aimed at raising road safety awareness.

Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ managing director Terry Bartlett said: “Joining Brake as a corporate donor not only means we are helping to fund a very worthwhile cause, but we will be able to use a wide range of the charity’s resources to promote road safety to our clients.”

The theme of this year’s Road Safety Week is ‘Not a drop, Not a drag’ - never drink any alcohol or take any illegal or impairing drugs before driving.
