CFC Solutions has announced that its product range is compliant with the new version of Microsoft Windows – to be called Windows 7.

Due to be launched in October, Windows 7 has been available to CFC for testing for some time thanks to the company’s Microsoft Gold Partner status, which means that it is given access to new Microsoft products early in their development.

Neville Briggs, managing director, said: “Over the next couple of years, Windows 7 is likely to become a very widely used operating system by fleets and it is important that there are no teething problems when it is used with any of our products.

“We have tested our existing software and also some soon-to-be-released products running within a Windows 7 environment and everything seems to work very well. These are impressive new developments from Microsoft.

“We will be looking to exploit some of the new features offered by Windows 7 to bring about new improvements for fleet operators who use our software.”

New features of Windows 7 over previous versions of Windows include an improved interface, faster start up times, better troubleshooting and enhanced hardware support.
