There is growing interest amongst fleet managers in the Fitch Fuel Catalyst, which claims to save fuel and cut emissions, after the UK saw its third fuel price hike in just nine months.

This latest duty rise of 2p per litre, which took effect on Tuesday (September 1), means the average cost of petrol is around £1.06 per litre and the rise actually amounts to 2.3p per litre when VAT is included.

Fuel Harmonics holds the distribution rights and licence for the Fitch Fuel Catalyst, which is simply installed in-line and has no engine warrantee implication on American engines or those over three years old. All other engines are covered by Fuel Harmonics’ own £5 million product liability insurance.

“Interest in the Fitch system always increases around fuel price or duty increases," explained Fuel Harmonics director Roger Macnair.
