Lombard has strengthened its commitment to targeting the public sector by increasing its sales team and integrating it into its strategic accounts operations.

Strategic accounts was launched last year to service major customers with larger fleets, and now numbers around 24 personnel ranging from relationship directors to fleet analysts.

The latest recruit is Rory MacKinnon, who will be responsible for public sector fleets in the northern half of the UK. He has been with Lombard since 2003 on its Fast Track programme, and has worked in a variety of roles from customer services to finance.

The southern half of the country is covered by Emma Darby, who has been in Lombard’s public sector team for two years.

Both will report to development director Peter Butler, who joined the strategic accounts team last year and now assumes overall responsibility for public sector operations.
