Skoda UK was named the Most Improved Manufacturer in the 2010 Fleet News awards.

Skoda has gone from strength to strength in 2009. Its flagship Superb typifies the carmaker’s success, winning nearly 30 awards across Europe since its official premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008 and selling more than 20,000 units across Europe since launch. It helped Skoda achieve a record 1.6% share of the corporate market, a tremendous performance considering Skoda had no presence in fleet only five years ago.

But the manufacturer has no intention of resting on its laurels, as it takes a more aggressive approach to fleet sales.

Judges’ comments
A unanimous decision thanks to Skoda’s improved products, better support from the fleet department and the dealer network. One judge commented: “The tremendous improvement in the car line up has finally lain to rest all those old Skoda jokes.”
