EX-ENGLAND cricketer Alec Stewart has taken delivery of a new Lexus LS430 supplied by the Leasedrive Group.

Following his retirement from cricket, Stewart has signed a sponsorship deal with the group.

Roddy Graham, commercial director at the Leasedrive, said: 'Stewart retired recently from first class cricket to focus on his business interests and we are delighted that he has signed a promotional deal with our group for 2004.

'We have a number of motivational events planned throughout the year, where he will be talking to our clients, suppliers and employees.'

Meanwhile, Leasedrive has launched a new business driver management service called Responsibility.

The service has been designed to help fleets introduce a 'duty of care' package and includes a health and safety audit.

Graham said: 'Since companies failing to act on their duty of care responsibilities run the risk in the event of an accident of facing significant fines, Responsibility will give employers peace of mind by demonstrating that all reasonable steps have been taken to ensure business drivers and vehicles comply with current legislation.

'Company directors and senior management just cannot risk the possibility of facing large fines and or even possible prison sentences.'
