Large car running costs
The Fleet News Running Cost Calculator gives you important information about the three key vehicle costs: depreciation, fuel and service, maintenance and repair (SMR). It enables fleet decision-makers to compare models to benchmark costs and determine which are best suited to their budgets using pence per mile or full cycle figures.
Fleet News is now able to offer you an additional layer of insight via our Total Cost of Ownership Calculator. Sign up or log in to access TCO figures by monthly cost or pence per mile which take into consideration National Insurance, vehicle off road (VOR) costs and VED as well as the standard running cost figures.
Petrol and diesel prices are updated from nationwide averages from globalpetrolprices.com. This is then calculated against the 'WLTP MPG – Comb' figure.
Electric cost is 44p. This is taken from an average/blend of charging types sourced from Zapmap. The 'WLTP EC (kWh/100km) – Comb' figure in then used to calculate the electric cost.
Data for both calculators is provided by cap hpi.
