Epyx comment

This metric shows the time from when a fleet driver contacts a garage to book SMR and when the job actually happens.

The average for August was 13.35 days, a slight decrease from 13.93 days a year ago but a notable rise compared to the 11.32 days seen before the pandemic in January 2020, when our dataset begins.

It’s worth noting that all through 2023, lead times were high, at one point hitting 14.20 days, and there has been at least a slight downward trend since the start of this year.

The overall picture is that, despite these small improvements, workshops remain under considerable pressure, with a range of issues persisting, ranging from post-Covid supply issues to skills shortages.
