A £250,000 deal will put the whole national Surridge Dawson van fleet under the watchful eye of the Securicor TrakBak security system. The vehicle tracking system is to be fitted to all Surridge Dawson's 320-strong fleet.

'We lost three per cent of our fleet last year through theft, and the replacement value ran into hundreds of thousands of pounds,' said transport administrator John Dench. Surridge Dawson and TrakBak believe the fleet has been hit by professional thieves stealing to order.
