GE Capital Fleet Services in the UK has appointed Jonathan Burr as managing director in succession to Dan Farrar, who has returned to the US. Burr, who takes control of all GE's fleet businesses in the UK - Avis Fleet Services, Leasecontracts and Cochranes Fleet Services - was previously GE's managing director for Avis Fleet Services, Benelux.

Following his appointment Burr said: 'In just four years GE Capital Fleet Services has built up a distinctive presence in the UK fleet market with its carefully focused, customer-centric member businesses, which together already constitute the largest of our European fleet operations. I look forward to leading a highly successful team and working with them to deliver continuing growth, innovation and customer benefits.'
