CAP Motor Research has implemented a number of management changes to strengthen its team in preparation for future growth. Editorial director Andrew Wilkinson has been appointed operations director with responsibility for editorial, production and IT departments together with the day-to-day running of CAP's head office in Leeds.

Acknowledged as one of the leading experts in the field, Wilkinson is a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry and has 18 years' experience in the motor trade covering a wide range of disciplines. Additionally, CAP Red Book editor Tim Wilcock takes over as head of department for CAP Black, Red and Green Books, which list used values of all cars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles.

Tony Doherty, who was responsible for developing the new CAP for Windows system, becomes head of department for IT and production, while CAP Monitor editor Richard Whittles becomes head of all Monitor products. Alan Senior takes over as head of the technical, ID and data section, while economist Mark Cowling will be heading up the CAP consultancy arm, supporting and advising on all product area and providing macro and micro economic forecasting.
