THE Fleet Driver Training Association is actively looking for external sponsorship to fund the association's development. The heavy time and effort demands made of the association's secretary have convinced members that the position should be a permanent, full time post.

An FDTA sub-committee has investigated potential sources of funding, including higher levies on members or instructors, but believes an external source such as a motor manufacturer, insurer or leasing company to be a better prospect.

The full time secretary will not only be responsible for managing the internal administration and budget of the FDTA, but also for promoting the association within the fleet industry and further afield by lobbying the Government, insurance industry and media.
