TOAD Innovations has bought Laserline and Sigma for £4m, making it the largest car security company in Britain. The move comes as Toad's annual results show full-year losses of £5.1m, compared to £2.3m for the previous year.
The day to day operations of Toad, car security product distributor Laserline and vehicle alarm manufacturer Sigma will be integrated during the next six months.
Toad has also signed a deal with Spacetrac which will see Toad marketing a new car security tracking device which requires no fitting, but can simply be placed in the vehicle. The device will be marketed by Toad within a year and is expected to be priced around £150.
