FLEET News has launched the search for the winners of the 1998 Fleet News Awards, which will be presented at the annual awards ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, March 18 and, once again, the night, known as the 'Fleet Industry's Oscars', will be one of the highlights of the new fleet year as the awards themselves celebrate their 10th anniversary.

This year a total of 30 awards will be presented - 11 to manufacturers for the top fleet cars and vans of 1997, 11 to service companies recognising their fleet industry achievements in 1997 and eight to fleet managers. Today, Fleet News is inviting fleet service companies in whatever sector of the fleet market they operate to enter themselves for the Fleet News Awards. Companies may enter as many of the 11 fleet service company award categories as they wish, submitting reasons as to why they should win with any written supporting material.

The categories for the 1997 Fleet News Awards in which service companies are eligible are:

As in previous years, the judges will be looking particularly for new initiatives launched by companies in 1997 and how they have helped fleet managers to improve the operating performance of their fleets. The deadline for entries is January 9, 1998 and entries should be sent to Ashley Martin, Editor, Fleet News, Wentworth House, Wentworth Street, Peterborough, PE1 1DS.
