JESSUPS Vehicle Contracts has embarked on a programme to expand use of electronic commerce in all areas of its business. The company, based in Hoddesden, Hertfordshire, was one of the first companies to become involved in the DVLA's electronic fleet relicensing project which went live in March.

Jessups is already reaping the benefits of using the scheme in terms of time savings, but says this is just the first step in a longer-term project to increase use of electronic links. Future plans include automated links to maintenance suppliers, electronic invoicing to customers and participation in future DVLA schemes such as planned MoT and disposal projects. It will also be launching its own web site next year.
