PRODUCTION of Ford's Probe is set to cease in June - but user-choosers itching for one needn't rush as current stock levels will last until the end of the year.
The American-built sports coupe is set to be replaced next year by the Lynx's big brother - a Mondeo-based vehicle which could continue Ford's feline theme by taking the name Cougar. The decision was taken in the USA, where demand for the Probe has dried up. It's a similar story in Europe, where the car never really took off.
