Rover has signed a deal to supply Royal London Insurance with 2,000 cars worth £28.5 million at showroom prices. The cars will be delivered in July and August through a network of nine dealerships.

The news will come as a boost for Rover, which recently lost a contract worth £24m to supply cars to Birmingham-based Severn Trent Water. Severn Trent was two years into a five year solus contract with Rover to supply its fleet, but it switched to Ford following a review.
