DAEWOO has underlined its pursuit of fleet business with the appointment of Stewart Wright as its first national fleet and special sales manager. Wright (48) has more than 28 years' motor industry sales experience including 18 years as a manager with Renault UK, 10 of which he spent in fleet and special sales roles.

Reporting to Wright is Daewoo's eight-strong fleet team of Phil Davies, Denise Livemore, Paul Robertson (regional fleet managers), Martin Bradbury (leasing and contract hire manager), Anna Clements and Alexa Tagg (fleet co-ordinators) and Linda Wheeler (Motability co-ordinator).

Meanwhile, Daewoo in Britain was remaining tight-lipped about three new cars to be launched this year, despite the smallest vehicle breaking cover at the Leipzig Motor Show. The Lanos (codename T100), Nubira (J100) and Leganza (V100) are due to go on sale in the UK in the autumn. The Lanos is smaller than the current Nexia, Nubira fits between the Nexia and Espero while the V100 will top the new model line-up.
