TOMORROW'S fuel card could be a corporate charge card given to all employees - including company car drivers - to which all motoring expenses, business travel and hotel bills could be charged, according to PHH.

Keith Greenhead, PHH Vehicle Management Services' manager - fuel, said: 'Within five years most people in the UK will have a card which is effectively a corporate charge card for all their business requirements. It will solve a multitude of problems with invoices and expense claims.'

Invoices from charge cards, like fuel cards, would be VAT approved with statements giving huge amounts of management information to employers. In addition charge card holders could benefit from corporate discounts and volume related rebates.
