THE Association of Car Fleet Operators is to lobby the new Government to make sure the voice of the fleet industry is heard.

ACFO director Stewart Whyte said the scale of the Labour victory took the country into uncharted territory, but would only be a cause for concern if 'old Labour' policies were re-introduced: 'We will be seeking representation to the officials of the new Government to ensure that the voice of the UK fleet operator is heard and clearly understood.

'If new Labour meets its pre-election indications we see no great risk so far as fleet management is concerned. If, however, there is a return to the policies of old Labour, with the company car seen as a tax dodge, we will have a legitimate cause for concern.'
