BCH Vehicle Management is to provide fuel cards for all Safeway Stores' drivers. The supermarket giant operates a fleet of 1,400 vehicles and has been a BCH customer for contract hire and fleet management for more than 20 years.

BCH will provide reports on all aspects of fuel usage. Data will include bespoke reports covering user, source, usage and vehicle as well as consumption for each model variation. Earlier this year Safeway signed a dual-badge deal with Volkswagen and Ford to supply cars for its fleet, which was previously solus Rover.

An additional BCH scheme, alongside the fleet policy, enables Safeway employees who do not qualify for a company car to get preferential terms on a Volkswagen Polo, Passat or Sharan.
