FORD has won a contract to provide more than 300 British-built Transit vans to the Hong Kong Government. The Ford Transits will be used by various Government departments, including the Hong Kong Police.
Production of the right-hand drive Transits at Ford's Southampton plant will begin later this year following the successful bid by the manufacturer and its Hong Kong dealer, Wallace Harper & Company. Jiangling Motor Company and Ford will begin production of a left-hand-drive version of the Transit in China in December.
