NATIONAL Car Rental has launched a new long term rental product called AutoFlex for hire periods of more than 90 days. AutoFlex gives customers the opportunity to terminate a contract at a month's notice without penalty.

Two products are available - the first targeting fleets which require rentals of between three and six months, and using vehicles nearing the end of their life with National. A satisfaction guarantee means customers unhappy with the car provided can change it within 14 days of the rental starting.

National has designed the second product for fleets needing vehicles for between six and 18 months, with customers required to rent for a minimum period. Fleets can fit mobile phones or towbars to the hire vehicles, and even purchase them at the end of the Autoflex contract. Vehicle service and maintenance is included in the monthly hire rate, but both products remain rental rather than contract hire in nature.
