KIA'S new upper medium sector contender - the Clarus which will come to the UK as Credos in the autumn - received it world premiere at the show. Credos promises to be the car which puts the Korean manufacturer on the fleet map and it will be available with a choice of 1.8 and 2.0-litre engines but only in saloon format.

An estate version is unlikely to arrive in the UK, at least for this year.

The chunky-looking car will be highly specced to compete with the likes of the Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Vectra. Likely to be available in four trim levels the range-topper will be equipped with ABS and twin airbags.
