HUNDREDS of cars on the Inland Revenue's fast-cycle fleet replacement scheme will go under the hammer at a series of eight sales at British Car Auctions centres around the country this month. The venture, announced at the Fleet Motor Show, sees the teaming up of two 1998 Fleet News Award winners - BCA, which won the disposal and training categories, and Inland Revenue head of transport and travel Stan Ayling, winner of the Fleet Manager of the Year (Large Fleets) title.

The programme of special sales feature cars direct from the Inland Revenue's Fleet Fast-Cycle scheme - a concept initially piloted last year. Each auction will feature between 30 and 40 R-registration cars at around 10,000 miles. The first sale, held earlier this month at BCA's Nottingham centre, saw 92% of the entry being sold. Sales are also being held at Measham, Brighouse, Derby and Paddock Wood.
