SEAT has launched a new high-spec Ibiza TDi Salsa to replace the original TDi model. The new vehicle offers 57.6mpg and boasts tilt or slide sunroof, driver's airbag and central locking.
SEAT is confident that, despite diesel fuel increases in the March Budget, diesel cars which offer good economy can still return sizeable savings over similar petrol-engined models. The Ibiza TDi Salsa, priced £11,620 for the 3-door and £12,020 for the 5-door, has returned up to 70.6mpg on the extra urban test cycle and can be run on BioDiesel.
The existing Ibiza TDi has also been shown to have the lowest carbon dioxide emissions - 132 grams per kilometre - in the Government's 1998 'New Car Fuel Consumption Figures' booklet.
