LIQUEFIED petroleum gas conversion specialist The Environmental Gas Company is setting up fitting centres across the country to meet rising demand. The Taunton-based company, which is the sole UK importer of Italian-made Landi systems, has opened a string of sites around Britain this year, as well as opening a new head office.
Boosted by the Budget, which signalled that the Government was keen to promote use of gas road fuels, the company hopes to have more than 90 sites in operation by the end of the year. EGC partner Clive Barrell is convinced the majority of drivers would be happy to move over to LPG - in fact he believes most would be unable to tell the difference between LPG and petrol.
