UNIFLEET, the vehicle management business within United Utilities, has signed a major contract for more than 3,600 Overdrive fuel cards. The deal, initially for three years, covers Unifleet's 3,500-strong fleet with room for future expansion.
Since the division was set up, in 1996, drivers have been using a number of different fuel cards and in some cases credit cards to fill up. Five companies were invited to tender for the Unifleet contract to introduce a single card provider.
Alan New, Unifleet's business unit director, said: 'Although Overdrive's cost per card was not the lowest price, we were impressed with the additional services and the quality of the reports, which came at no extra cost.'
