NISSAN has announced prices for its new Pickup range, which adds two new cab designs to the model line-up. It is available in three body layouts, single cab, king cab and double cab, compared to just a single cab for the outgoing model.
The king cab provides space behind the seats for tools and valuables, while the double cab gives space for five people and load carrying room. There are four-wheel-drive and two-wheel-drive versions, and two diesel engines. The latest 2.5-litre turbodiesel with intercooler produces 104bhp and 178lb-ft maximum torque. A normally-aspirated 2.5-litre diesel produces 83bhp and 120lb-ft of torque, compared to the outgoing power unit which produced 75bhp and 118lb-ft torque.
Pricing for the new Pickup starts at £12,776, including VAT and delivery, for the single cab 4x2 2.5D, up about £200 on the outgoing model. The king cab version, expected to be Nissan's top-seller, costs £13,305 for the 2.5D 4x2. The 4x4 2.5TDi king cab costs £16,918 while the double cab, with the same engine and drivetrain, will set customers back £17,794.
