EMISSION levels have been radically reduced after a company's fleet more than doubled the amount of CityDiesel it was using over ordinary diesel. Air Products was so impressed with the ultra-low sulphur diesel that it has now installed pumps at its European headquarters in Hersham, Surrey.
Last year fleet drivers were using about 8,000 litres a month of CityDiesel by filling up at local pumps - since the two pumps have been installed on site the amount used per month has increased to more than 19,000 litres. As a result of going 'green' the company has calculated it is now responsible for a two-tonne reduction in the particulates and sulphur dioxide emitted over the course of a year.
