VAUXHALL will increase prices by an average of 1% across its range from August 31. Details were sketchy at the time of this Fleet NewsNet update, but are expected to coincide with enhanced specification on 1999 year products.

Examples of the delivered prices (excluding the £25 registration fee) are: Vauxhall Corsa LS 12v £9,220, up 0.9% or £85 on the previous price of £9,135, Astra 1.6 LS five-door £12,995 (1.6%, £200 increase on £12,795); Vectra 1.8 LS five-door £15,595 (1%, £150 rise on £15,445) and Omega CD £20,975 (2.2%, £455 up on £20,520).

Honda is raising prices by an average of 0.6% from September 1, except for Civic Aerodeck and Accord coupe. Sample prices (excluding £25 delivery fee) are: Civic three-door 1.4i £12,335 (£12,245), Civic five-door hatch 1.5i LS £14,725 (£14,575), CR-V 2.0i LS £17,325 (£17,125).
