COMPANY car drivers could soon be able to pay car park charges at Britain's NCP car parks on their fuel cards. Cendant Business Answers (Europe), which owns PHH Vehicle Management, Fleet Cost Management and the PHH AllStar, Overdrive and Dialcard fuel cards, has begun a trial which sees motorists being able to use their credit cards to pay NCP car park charges.

Parent company, American-owned Cendant Corporation bought the near 500-strong National Car Parks organisation in March last year, and, as part of the business's cross-marketing and mobility practice, the trial has now started. Until now motorists had to pay cash at NCP car parks, with the exception of airport NCP car parks, and Fleet NewsNet would expect the credit card move to be the forerunner of a wider initiative involving fuel cards.
