CAR Fleet Control has created a new department to cope with increasing demand for customised fleet software. The new support services department is designed to help customers identify the type of specialisation they need, says Greg Connell, Car Fleet Control's managing director.

Connell said: 'Bespoke software - most of which is developed for major projects - is undoubtedly a growth area for us and one towards which we are directing higher levels of resources.

'What the new department will do is create increased consultation and communication related to how specific modifications should be designed. Clients will be able to tell us with more accuracy what they need and we can tell them how it can be achieved.'

The team will be led by support services manager Colin Hicklin and alongside him will be experienced fleet manager Nick Williamson plus a third member who has yet to be recruited.
