COMPANY car drivers have been warned not to use rearward facing child seats on the front passenger seat of cars fitted with airbags.The advice comes from Volkswagen after an accident in Germany in which a child was killed following the deployment of an airbag.

The manufacturer's scientists are investigating the incident which saw the airbag deployed even though it had undergone the recognised de-activation procedure.
