A REPORT by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission into the takeover of RAC Motoring Services by Cendant Corporation is expected to be made public before the end of February after it was handed to the Department of Trade and Industry last month for consideration.

The £450 million acquisition was investigated by the MMC because Cendant already owns Green Flag and the purchase could give it a 41% share of the breakdown insurance market.
