FORD has simplified its range of vehicle servicing and extended warranty plans for fleets and private motorists in a new scheme called Ford Service Connect. This offers six 'worry-free' motoring plans, compared to the 14 available under Extra Cover, the scheme it replaces.

Ford Service Connect's Platinum Plan comprises RAC membership, an extended parts and labour warranty and vehicle servicing, including all parts and labour. The Gold Plan provides an extended warranty and RAC membership for one or two years, but no vehicle servicing. The Platinum Plan gives customers the opportunity to extend this by 12 months, via a two-year Plan which includes two or three services, or by two years via a three-year plan that includes three or four services.

Sample VAT-inclusive prices for the Ford Service Connect Platinum Plan range from £285 for two years and two services for the Ka, to £1,110 for three years and four services for the Transit. Focus prices range from £355 for two years and two services to £740 for three years and four services. Mondeo prices range from £395 to £805.
