FLEET management company Cirrus Fleet Services has launched a new cut-price accident investigation service for clients. Managing director Ralph Ingham-Johnson, who is a Law Society listed expert witness and an accident investigator, is offering the service from about £150.

He said: 'In major accidents, a thorough investigation to expert witness standards could easily run to thousand of pounds but there are some 200,000 accidents a year that do not involve death or serious injury. They need investigation more thoroughly than the insurance companies do it but do not need the top standard.

'We are offering an investigation which will establish liability and suit people who want to find out for insurance purposes the exact cause. It will prevent people from being wrongly blamed for accidents, too.' The firm is also planning to develop an accident guide showing the information which needs to be collected to help staff prepare for any eventuality.'
