MASTERDRIVE Leasing and Rental has become one of the preferred suppliers to the UK's largest china clay producer English China Clays. So far it has supplied four cars for the 120-strong car fleet along with several Citroen 600 vans and Ford Ivecos for the light commercial vehicle fleet of 250 vehicles.

Vehicles are being provided on a full maintenance contract hire agreement as one of two suppliers - the second is not being named - with cars on three-year replacement cycles and light commercials being replaced every five years. Trucks and trailers are also being provided to the company through Masterdrive Commercial.

Mike Cook, plant and transport materials purchase manager for ECC said: 'Masterdrive is able to build solutions to our specifications as a customer with a mixed car fleet providing full freedom of choice for our personnel.' Tony Elliott, director and general manager of Masterdrive Leasing and Rental, said: 'The ability to handle a full range of vehicles within the company fleet means that Masterdrive is able to support the total fleet development with comprehensive and co-ordinated strategies.'
