TOSHIBA Information Systems has scrapped its arrangement with four contract hire companies for the supply of its fleet vehicles in favour of a solus contract for its 160-strong fleet with Lease Plan.
Fleet management, leasing, vehicle maintenance and accident management will be provided by Lease Plan on a user-chooser policy over a four- year replacement cycle.
Barking gets personal
THE London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has awarded a contract to run a personal motoring scheme for its 9,000 staff to Hertz Leasing. Any staff member up to and including the mayor can use the Hertz Lifestyle scheme, which also gives employees the option of buying a new or ex-rental car.
Karl Afteni, head of revenue service at the London borough, said: 'Having had a close look at PCP schemes, Hertz Lifestyle seemed to offer the widest range of choice to suit the majority of our employees.'
