KWIK-FIT Fleet managing director Ron Bambra has been appointed group fleet director of Kwik-Fit to spearhead development of the company's fleet services in continental markets. As a consequence of Bambra's promotion, Kwik-Fit Fleet sales and marketing director Simon Roper, who has been with the company and held the post for five years, becomes managing director from September 1.

Bambra's appointment follows last year's £105 million acquisition of Speedy Europe by Kwik-Fit which opened the gateway to European expansion for the company particularly giving it the chance to launch a pan-European fleet operation. And this year's £1 billion acquisition of Kwik-Fit by Ford further expanded Kwik-Fit Fleet's horizon's with the promise of worldwide fleet expansion. Bambra will continue to report directly to Kwik-Fit Holdings' board.
