ROVER Group has appointed Trevor Houghton-Berry as its new corporate sales director. He joins Rover from Mazda, where he was corporate sales manager, then general manager, light commercial vehicles, and replaces Steve Harris, who was promoted to regional director African sales for the BMW Group at the end of last year.
Houghton-Berry will report directly to Paul Willis, Rover Cars' managing director, who welcomed him, saying he was joining 'at a time when we have great opportunities ahead of us with the full range of Rover 75, 45 and 25 available in the market place'. Willis and Houghton-Berry previously worked together at Mazda.
'I am encouraged with what I have to work with,' said Houghton-Berry. 'The 25, 45 and 75 have been well received, and I am fortunate to have inherited a top team. It just needs the time and effort to get the show back on the road.' Mazda has not yet appointed a replacement.
