CADILLAC unveiled its 10th concept car of the year at Geneva, promising that the hi-tech Imaj would offer driver and passengers the same comforts as first class air travellers. The stunning executive car was conceived in the UK by GM's Concept Design studio in Birmingham, although at 5.1 metres in length and with a colossal supercharged Northstar 4.2-litre V8 425bhp engine, its target market would clearly be North America.

Ingenious features on the Imaj include Cadillac's Night Vision system, e-lock vehicle access, an electrochromatic glass roof (which is opaque when switched off) that is louvred so that each passenger can control their own sunroof louvres, front and rear radar for parking, reclining rear seats with footrests, while each seat offers in-seat heating and ventilation and has its own voice-activated communication system including e-mail access, individual LCD screen with DVD, navigation and entertainment.
